The National Board for Technical Education organised 6 capacity building training workshops for teachers of Polytechnics, Monotechnics and other specialised TVE institutions across the 6 Geo-political Zones of the country. Three areas chosen for the training were; entrepreneurship development, development of pedagogical skills and the use of technology for curriculum delivery under the 2008 MDGs/DRGs appropriation.
The objectives of the workshops include:

• Instilling Entrepreneurship culture on the teachers for onward transmission to the students
• Increase the capacities of our teachers to effectively deliver the new curriculum
• Increase the teaching skills of the teachers
• Effectively leverage on technology to effectively deliver the curriculum.

The workshops were spread across the six Geo-political Zones of the country; Lagos, Nekede, Auchi, Bauchi, Bida and Kaduna. In all, over 800 teachers were trained.
