NBTE South-East Zonal Office
FUNCTIONS OF THE NBTE SOUTH EAST ZONAL OFFICE
The NBTE South-East Zonal Office is among the six zonal offices across the country that became operational on 1st September 2021.
The zonal office operates as an administrative branch of the NBTE for the purpose of providing services to stakeholders at grassroots within the zone.
These services which are the functions carried out by the zonal office include:
i. Carryout skills advocacy/campaigns to institutions and industries to embrace NSQ training
ii. Mobilize, coordinate payments and facilitate QAA training for institutions in collaboration with Headquarters
iii. Mobilize, coordinate payments where applicable and facilitate training workshops as directed by Headquarters within the zone
iv. Carryout advisory visits to stakeholders and institutions that may need guidance to mount new institutions and or programmes
v. Watch out for illegal institutions within the zone and take the necessary steps to ensure the right thing is done
vi. Carryout quality assurance exercises in TVET institutions within the zone in collaboration with Headquarters
vii. Monitor programmes in institutions within the zone with a view to ensure expired programmes are visited
viii. Scout for consultancy services such as Staff Training, Physical/Academic, and Business Master Plan for stakeholders who need it in a bid to establish new institutions and or programmes
ix. Coordinate the collection and submission of completed SSQs by institutions to the Headquarters
x. And any other function/assignment that the zonal office maybe directed from time to time to carryout by the Headquarters
